Old House New House Home Show Returns with Ideas, Information and Innovation.
Update, renovate and revitalize home surroundings with The Old House New House Home Show, September 27 – 28 at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 East Main Street in St. Charles. Now in its 30th year, this engaging event features 300 award-winning contractors, talented designers, select remodelers, leading brands and creative craftsmen. Homeowners can see the latest in kitchens, baths, basements, additions, architecture, landscaping, patios, ponds, green renovations, renewable energy, home automation, interior design, custom closets, home offices, laundry rooms, woodworking, roofing, waterproofing, siding, insulation, heating and air, windows, doors, flooring and more. Show hours are Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. Adult admission is $7. Seniors over 62, admission is $4. Children under 18 attend free and parking is free. A portion of the ticket proceeds benefits The Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley.
New this year, Frank Fontana, acclaimed design expert, will share
his secrets for successful interiors on Sunday at Noon. Mr. Fontana is a frequent contributor to the
Today Show and hosts a weekly radio program on WGN Radio. He will meet and greet fans in the Eddie Z’s
booth, at 1 pm, following his presentation.
Also appearing is the skilled and
savvy, Lou Manfredini, known as “Mr.
Fix It” to his loyal fans. Mr.
Manfredini will be on hand Saturday from 10:15 – 11:15 to kick off the show
opening and share DIY tips, helpful how-to’s and industry insights.
Inspiring daily workshops are also included with admission,
offering design basics as well as new trends for homeowners to enjoy and
explore. “Beautiful Bathrooms” will be
presented at 1 pm daily by Linda Fougerousse of Interior Transformation,
Inc. “Designing Your Dream Kitchen” will
be presented by Loren Reid Seaman of LRS Interiors each day at 2 pm.
The Healthy Home Flu Shot Clinic
will be offered once again by visiting nurses from VNA Health Care. Attendees can register to win The Grand Prize
of $1000, presented by Angie’s List (no purchase necessary; contest rules available
